It’s been said that Glencairn is the closest you’ll come to Scotland without crossing the Atlantic. From the moment you pass the stone gates and wind your way between rock fences to the majestic multi-turreted clubhouse, you will feel like you just arrived at a Scottish links. Designed by Thomas McBroom, Glencairn’s 27 links-style holes are punctuated by steep pot bunkers and framed by fescue that waves menacingly in the ever-present wind that buffets the Halton Hills just west of Toronto. Burns (narrow meandering streams) cut through the heaving landscape of the Niagara Escarpment. You’ll have to be creative on the tight lies that surround the mammoth undulating greens. Afterwards, luxuriate in the castle-like clubhouse modeled after Scotland’s Muirfield, featuring brilliant photographs from three decades of Open Championship golf taken by award-winning photographer Doug Ball. Grab an ale in a cozy corner of the magnificently appointed Friar Pub or end your work week with a Friday night on the patio listening to one of the live bands that offer some sounds of the summer to savour with your delectable meal. The magnificent clubhouse is also an idyllic spot for hosting weddings, banquets or meetings. Make the short jaunt to Glencairn, transport yourself to Scotland, and save the plane fare.

Knottingwood was cofounded by Dave & Cindy and Scott & Ashley. It was established in 2019 after 3 years of planning, looking at multiple properties and finding one perfect to fit our dream. Knottingwood is located in Southwestern Ontario, minutes from London Ontario, in Middlesex county. With over 35 acres of farmland and forests with multiple trails, you are guaranteed to have a gorgeous agricultural backdrop for all of your photos to complete any event. Here at knottingwood, your event is important to us. It is one of the reasons why finding a space to hold such important events took 3 years of searching. We wanted a place that felt like a little bit of heaven. With our property being in the country, and on 50 acres of land, you know you are getting an exclusive property that is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Knottingwood is able to host not only weddings, but celebrations of life, family reunions, proms, anniversary parties and any other event that calls for a celebration. We look forward to meeting all the couples that come to Knottingwood for their special event and to help make that dream a reality.
Your wedding service can be held outside on emerald green lawns surrounded by majestic pines, maples and mature gardens. There are several options, suited for larger and smaller weddings - one with a white arbor, Canadian flag and plenty of gardens, another with large maple tree and a beautiful blue spruce. A wide open field offers several backdrops to choose from; gardens with a rustic fence, or tall pine trees. Another option is upon a 24’ round palladium, with guests beneath 100 year-old maples - better suited for smaller weddings. Welcome to Irvineside Farm! We offer a unique and private space for your day. It truly can become whatever you envision for the entire weekend. From 3:00pm on Friday, until 11:00am on Sunday, the place is yours. We pride ourselves on not offering packages and not trying to become a ‘wedding mill’ that has another wedding in the wings or running concurrently. Be creative or laid back. Adventure or chill. Our guests love the peaceful surroundings. We have 8 acres with a small creek. There is accommodation for up to 28 people (farmhouse for 4 and 24 in the glamping tents). We see it as a ‘mini-destination’ wedding because your core group of 28 can stay on site for the weekend and you can still have up to 100 guests for the wedding and the reception. We have a luxurious 4 room washroom trailer on site with flush toilets, showers and unlimited hot water. The drive shed and barn are spacious and picturesque. We also have four (10’x20’) pop up tents to increase the outside space. We have enough on site cooking facilities for the overnight guests. ckmaggs@gmail.com Irvineside Farm

Our home has always been a gathering place for family and friends. We moved to Seaman House in 2006, but have been part of the local community for more than 30 years. The house itself was built in 1857 and is made of granite quarried from the property. As a family of builders, gardeners and hospitality professionals it came naturally that we converted the 100-year old barn to provide ourselves with more space to host parties, and since then it has become a hub for shindigs, big and small. Beautiful in all seasons, The Barn is nestled against a natural granite waterfall at the edge of the woods, overlooking our gardens and pond. Restored and decorated with reclaimed materials and rustic features, The Barn accommodates 100 people seated across two levels, with plenty of additional space outside.
Making a dream into a reality. In 2012, the barn and property were none other than parts of a typical original rural homestead. The place was well-loved and well-used -exactly how it should be out on the old country roads. But it had more potential... potential that Kim (owner-operator) saw from day one. Fast forward to 2017 and Willow Creek hosted its first wedding event. We couldn't be more appreciative of the support from our family, friends, neighbours, and most importantly, our clients. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your special day, let our 24 acres of a flowing creek, spring-fed pond, century old barn and rustic country atmosphere be just the start of falling in love with Willow Creek.
Fanshawe Pioneer Village is an early example of the museum type known as a “Pioneer Village,” initially developed in mid-20th century Ontario by Conservation Authorities. Fanshawe Pioneer Village tells the story of rural communities in the former townships of Westminster, London, North Dorchester, Delaware, West Nissouri and Lobo in Middlesex County from 1820 to 1920 and the founding and development of the City of London up to 1840. Fanshawe Pioneer Village is owned and operated by the not-for-profit charity known as the London and Middlesex Heritage Museum with the support of the City of London, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, and the Municipality of Middlesex Centre. Spend a day in the 19th century at Fanshawe Pioneer Village. The past comes alive through daily demonstrations of 19th century life, trades, and farming practices.
