Fifty years later, Cherry Downs is a mature course that fits the eye like a grand master’s painting, but the dense forests and roller-coaster fairways are a stern test of course management. Designed as a homage to the greens at Augusta National, the devilish putting surfaces at Cherry Downs Golf and Country Club are its most defining feature. Slippery slopes, plateaus, run-offs and the protective surrounds will test your putting mettle. Perfect for juniors or those looking to hone their short game, Cherry Downs also offers a nifty nine-hole academy course. Before your round, hit the range which features six target greens. The 7,500 square-foot clubhouse features a relaxing patio that overlooks the 18th green and serves as an excellent venue for weddings, events and parties.
