Heintzman House Auxiliary was originally comprised of volunteers living in Thornhill who were involved in the campaign to save the house from demolition. In 1971 the Heintzman House Auxiliary was formed and an annual craft show fundraiser was organized with all the proceeds going to the refurbishment of the Heintzman House.
