Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is a privately owned Canadian Corporation and derives its income solely from admissions, gift shop and café sales, and facility rentals. Situated on a 107 acre site which includes the environmental sensitive Kossuth Bog, the 25,000 square foot facility includes a 10,800 square foot indoor tropical garden featuring 1000’s of free flying butterflies from all over the world, over 100 different varieties of tropical plants, waterfalls, streams, reflecting pools, tropical finches, Chinese painted quails and red-eared slider turtles. The Conservatory opened on January 26, 2001as Wings of Paradise Butterfly Conservatory and in 2010 changed its name to Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory to more accurately reflect the Butterfly Conservatory’s location and purpose. Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is governed by a Board of Directors committed to conservation, education and research, and to provide visitors to the conservatory with a truly unique, affordable and educational family experience.

This 18 hole course offers a unique golfing experience for every skill level. With mature, well-treed fairways and water in play on half of the holes. Located conveniently eight Kilometres north of the 401, Beaverdale Golf Club offers a unique golfing experience. With mature, well-treed fairways and water in play on half of the holes, Beaverdale provides a challenge for golfers of every skill level. The 4759 yard layout from the championship tees demands shots of accuracy rather than length. Each shot must be strategically placed to have easier approaches into the small, subtle rolling greens. As one of the best manicured courses in the the area, it makes a day of golf a walk in the park. Beaverdale’s 445 yard par five 6th hole is by far the most demanding and presents a challenge for even the best players. A very narrow landing area for your first two shots makes or breaks your score. The signature 4th hole features a green almost entirely surrounded by water. If you can hit an accurate 100 yard tee shot, you have a good chance at birdie on this par three.
