It’s been said that Glencairn is the closest you’ll come to Scotland without crossing the Atlantic. From the moment you pass the stone gates and wind your way between rock fences to the majestic multi-turreted clubhouse, you will feel like you just arrived at a Scottish links. Designed by Thomas McBroom, Glencairn’s 27 links-style holes are punctuated by steep pot bunkers and framed by fescue that waves menacingly in the ever-present wind that buffets the Halton Hills just west of Toronto. Burns (narrow meandering streams) cut through the heaving landscape of the Niagara Escarpment. You’ll have to be creative on the tight lies that surround the mammoth undulating greens. Afterwards, luxuriate in the castle-like clubhouse modeled after Scotland’s Muirfield, featuring brilliant photographs from three decades of Open Championship golf taken by award-winning photographer Doug Ball. Grab an ale in a cozy corner of the magnificently appointed Friar Pub or end your work week with a Friday night on the patio listening to one of the live bands that offer some sounds of the summer to savour with your delectable meal. The magnificent clubhouse is also an idyllic spot for hosting weddings, banquets or meetings. Make the short jaunt to Glencairn, transport yourself to Scotland, and save the plane fare.
It seems we can't find what you're looking for.
Welcome to Irvineside Farm! We offer a unique and private space for your day. It truly can become whatever you envision for the entire weekend. From 3:00pm on Friday, until 11:00am on Sunday, the place is yours. We pride ourselves on not offering packages and not trying to become a ‘wedding mill’ that has another wedding in the wings or running concurrently. Be creative or laid back. Adventure or chill. Our guests love the peaceful surroundings. We have 8 acres with a small creek. There is accommodation for up to 28 people (farmhouse for 4 and 24 in the glamping tents). We see it as a ‘mini-destination’ wedding because your core group of 28 can stay on site for the weekend and you can still have up to 100 guests for the wedding and the reception. We have a luxurious 4 room washroom trailer on site with flush toilets, showers and unlimited hot water. The drive shed and barn are spacious and picturesque. We also have four (10’x20’) pop up tents to increase the outside space. We have enough on site cooking facilities for the overnight guests.

The Pillar and Post is a landmark hotel in the heart of Niagara on the Lake. It combines modern amenities within a historic setting. Pillar and Post's original structure was built in the late 1890s as a canning factory, and since has been lovingly transformed into a fine Niagara on the Lake hotel. You can still see its original purpose in the clean lines of the brick walls and in the impressive post-and-beam construction. The hotel has a relaxed elegance with sunshine streaming in through skylights, beautiful terra cotta tile floors, indoor and outdoor pools, and an exotic hot springs pool at 100 Fountain Spa. The hotel is now home to The Gardens a 21,000 square foot garden inspired by the Monet Gardens in Giverny, France. This impressive space is planted with thousands of perennials, shrubs, ferns, rose bushes, seasonal flowers and hundreds of trees, complete with stunning water features. Beautiful lighted pathways are woven throughout, making the gardens a uniquely romantic location for celebrations and ceremonies during the day or evening. It is also home to The Outpost a café concept serving fresh sandwiches, cocktails, beer and wine. With our prime location in Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country, attentive service and commitment to the comfort of our guests, Pillar and Post is an ideal location for a romantic spa getaway, business meeting or a family vacation.
